American Warp Drive is me. Eric Warp. You can check out all the professional poop elsewhere in the site, but if you want to know where the center is, here you go: Nerd Boy, Geekmeister, the Dreaming Dork of the Plains.
One of the pleasures of growing up in Nebraska in the 60's: the freedom to be an absolute dweeb, and still blend in somewhat. It was a nerdy time.
Although I think I surpassed "nerd" and "dweeb" and went straight into "dork."
Some things never change. I still love all things science fiction. Still build things every chance I get, from props to bicycles. Still have the poster you see behind me in my room on my office wall, and my little Flying Sub model next to the monitor.
I'm amused when I see guys trying to look hip, in 2003, by choosing to wear thick black glasses frames like these. Maybe in 1969 I was really cool and didn't know it!
